Q&A following screening

Onstage with Vanessa Williams for the Q&A following the screening of our short films as part of the 10th Annual Urban Mediamakers Film Festival. Proud of my work. Vanessa is much better at Q&A’s than I am. Happy to learn from such a great actress about being at ease and in the moment!

Another film festival screening for Hurts Like Love! Proud to announce that Hurts Like Love is part of the 10th Annual Urban Mediamakers Film Festival, October 14th – 16th in Duluth, GA. This festival has an excellent lineup and it’s such a joy to be included. ATL here we come! http://www.umff.com/

In May I was blessed to have not only one but two articles about me and Hurts Like Love published in Oklahoma, my home state. I was so pleased to be interviewed by the Edmond Outlook magazine and the Oklahoma Gazette. Links to the articles are provided below!

This year marks their 14th Anniversary Celebration – From Cleopatra Jones to First Lady Michelle Obama: Exploring Feminism in Film & Media. Excited and honored to be a part of such a great festival!

Thank you to Courtney Silva of the Oklahoma Gazette for writing such a great article and interview with me about HURTS LIKE LOVE! Couldn’t be happier about this press coverage from my home state.

Oh yeah, that’s exciting news!

iNDie power was a phenomenal success!

Huge THANK YOU to everyone who came & supported us! Thank you to Team Red Wall (you know who you are) that worked all through the event on hors d’oeuvres, wine, passing out programs, etc, etc. Thank you James Alexander, our fabulous photographer for taking pics all over the place. Thank you to Jean Pierre for his excellent designs & sponsoring the evening. Thank you to the filmmakers for sharing your work. THANK YOU!

I am very happy to thank my family  and friends for coming to iNdie power, especially my parents who flew in from Oklahoma for the screening. Your support means the world to me!

It was an amazing evening and for me to see the finished product of so many sleepless nights on the big screen . . . well, I cried. I’m so proud of the piece. It’s a tender little story that was beautifully executed by my director, Roz Coleman Williams. I am thrilled! Can’t wait to see it on more big screens in the future.

Love to all!!!

iNdie power is only 41 hrs away & counting! My to-do list is insane. Meaning if I’m honest with myself the likelihood of me getting everything done on the list in the next 40 hrs & 58 mins is nonexistent . . . Instead I’m going to do what I can. Enjoy the time with my family (especially my parents) who are in town to support me. I’m the luckiest girl on the planet.
Tonight Roz was tweaking the original score by Gregory Vilfranc. I didn’t want to listen in too much because I want to be surprised & savor that feeling of hearing it all come together finally in a polished version on Saturday night. Can’t wait. Can’t wait!

There are times when I feel happy to have so many wonderful talented friends. And then there are times when I feel downright blessed. I am currently feeling oh-so-blessed to have Laura Bowman as a friend. She’s an amazing musician/singer/songwriter and she did the original music for the film. I can wait to have the final sound mix down with her pieces added to Hurts Like Love!

Check out Laura & her fabulous work -
